Agricultural Mechanic

An opportunity exists for a mechanic to join our diverse agricultural business.

NS Rogers Ltd is a family owned and run business that has been operating for over 50 years. We are a Challenge Service Station and garage, which offers a wide range of automotive & agricultural services to our local rural community and the surrounding Nelson/Golden Bay Province. We service a wide range of tractors & farm machinery from old to new models.

We need a person who:
- has mechanical experience and knowledge of tractors and other agricultural machinery including light engineering
- has a genuine passion for the Agricultural/Horticultural industry
- can work unsupervised, but also work effectively as part of a team
- is motivated and quick to learn new skills
- can show aptitude in problem solving
- has a good work ethic and a can-do positive attitude
- has good communication skills
- is able to carry out both workshop and on-site field servicing
- can maintain a clean and tidy work environment
- is a team player and willing to assist other service departments

Key Responsibilities
- Servicing, diagnosing & repairing a range of agricultural machinery (tractors, implements, excavators)
- Providing excellent customer service
- Keeping accurate records
- Effectively communicate with managers & be a contributing member of the NSR team
- Liaising with parts dept for ordering parts & supplies.
